1 SCOPE

This document specifies the test equipment, test methods and requirements for conducted emission of electrical transients along supply lines only and immunity testing of electrical/electronic components (EEC) for road vehicles.
This document is applicable to the EECs with a nominal voltage of 12V or 24V intended for vehicles of Categories M, N, O and L, independent of the vehicle’s propulsion system, e.g. spark ignition or diesel engine, electric motor.

4 TEST PROCEDURE

4.1 General

The transient emission along supply lines and immunity testing involved in this document shall be performed in “bench tests” in the laboratory. Some test methods require the use of artificial network, so as to provide comparable results between laboratories.
