Performance Requirements and Testing Methods for Electronic Stability Control System (ESC) for Light Vehicles

1 SCOPE

This Standard specifies the performance requirements and testing methods for electronic stability control system (ESC) for light vehicles.
This Standard applies to the ESC of Categories M and N vehicles with a maximum design total mass  3,500 kg. For Categories M and N vehicles with a maximum design total mass  3,500 kg but  5,000 kg, this Standard may be used as a reference.
