\n1 SCOPE<\/p>\n
This standard specifies the method for quantitatively determining distillation characteristics of petroleum products at atmospheric pressure using a laboratory batch distillation unit. This standard covers the determination methods of both manual and automated instruments.
\nThis standard applies to distillate fuels such as natural gasoline (stabilized light hydrocarbon), light and middle distillates, automotive spark-ignition engine fuels, aviation gasoline, jet fuels, diesel fuels and kerosines, naphthas and white spirits. This standard doesn\u2019t apple to products containing appreciable quantities of residual material.
\nNote: the samples used for establishing the precision of this method shall have a residue volume percentage of not exceeding 2%.<\/p>\n
