This document specifies the classification, appearance and dimensions, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging and transportation, product installation requirements, and requirements for maintenance in use, with respect to the vehicle marking of dangerous goods for road transportation.<\/div>\n
This document is applicable to the manufacture and use of vehicle marking of dangerous goods for road transportation.<\/div>\n
This document is not applicable to the vehicle marking of radioactive substances for road transportation.<\/div>\n

A mark plate indicating the information on hazardous nature of goods carried by a vehicle<\/div>\n
3.2 UN number<\/div>\n
A number with four Arabic numerals prepared by the United Nations Committee of Experts on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, used to identify a substance or article or a category of specific substances or articles<\/div>\n

3.3 hazard identification number<\/div>\n
A group of numbers or a combination of letter X and number(s) indicating the hazard of dangerous goods<\/div>\n
Note: the classification code of explosive substances of Class 1 can be used as the hazard identification number.<\/div>\n
