1. SCOPE OF APPLICATION<\/p>\n
This Rules applies to:<\/p>\n
(1)Seats of the vehicles of Categories M and N;<\/p>\n
(2)Head restraints intended for the aforesaid seats (if they are delivered, sold or imported individually). This Rules doesn’t apply to the following seats and head restraints:<\/p>\n
(1)Side-facing or rearward-facing seats;<\/p>\n
(2)Seats intended for Class A and Class I vehicles of Categories M2 and M3;<\/p>\n
(3)Seats or restraint systems intended for child occupants.<\/p>\n
The seats and head restraints intended for other vehicles may use this document as a reference.<\/p>\n
Considering the adjustment of application scope arising from the changes in such factors as laws & regulations, applicable product standards, technologies and industry policies, the announcements issued by the CQC shall prevail.<\/p>\n
2.CERTIFICATION MODE<\/p>\n
The certification mode for automobile seats and head restraints is: Type Test + Conformity of Production (CoP) Check + Post-Certification Supervision<\/p>\n
The certification includes the following basic steps:<\/p>\n
a. Application for the certification<\/p>\n
b. Type test<\/p>\n
c. CoP check<\/p>\n
d. Evaluation and approval of certification result<\/p>\n
e. Post-certification supervision<\/p>\n
As the production organization mode and product characteristics vary, differentiated CoP checks and post-certification supervisions may apply in specific implementation.<\/p>\n
