This Standard specifies the photometric performance, test methods and inspection rules of headlamp equipped with gas-discharge light sources for motor vehicles. Headlamps equipped with gas discharge light source(s) may incorporate outside lenses of glass or plastic materials.<\/p>\n
This Standard applies to various type of headlamps equipped with gas-discharge light sources for motor vehicle in Category M and N.<\/p>\n

3. TERMS AND DEFINITIONS<\/p>\n
For the purpose of this Standard, the terms and definitions defined in GB 4599 and GB 4785 apply.<\/p>\n
The term \u201cheadlamp\u201d used in this standard refers to headlamp with gas-discharge light sources. A complete headlamp shall also include ballast according to GB 4599.<\/p>\n
