This document applies to the safety belt reminders for driver\u2019s seating position and front-row (the same row as the driver) passenger\u2019s seating position of motor vehicles in Categories M and N and the safety belt reminders for rear-row passenger\u2019s seating position of motor vehicles in Categories M1 and N1, while the safety belt reminders for other seating positions may use this document as a reference.<\/div>\n

a visual warning activated when the ignition switch or master control switch is engaged (vehicle propulsion device running or not) by turning to \u201cON\u201d or \u201cREADY\u201d (or an equivalent state) and the safety-belt of any occupant in the vehicle is not fastened<\/div>\n
Note: An audible warning can be added as an option.<\/div>\n
