\nGB 15766.1 Lamps for road vehicles \u2013 Dimensional, electrical and luminous requirements (GB15766.1-2000, idt IEC 60809:1995)
\nECE R37 Uniform provisions concerning the approval of filament lamps for use in approved lamp units on power-driven vehicles and of their trailers<\/p>\n
\na) The trade name or mark;
\nb) The characteristics of the optical system (levels of luminous intensity, the minimum angle of light distribution, category of filament lamp or light source module and etc used);
\nc) The system used to reduce illumination at night – in the case of stop- lamps with two levels of luminous intensity.
\nA change of the color of the filament lamp or the color of any filter does not constitute a change of type.<\/p>\n
\n5.1.2 Front and rear position lamps which are grouped or combined or reciprocally incorporated may also be used as end-outline marker lamps.
\n5.1.3 In case filament lamp is used, it is necessary to comply with stipulations of GB 15766.1 or ECE R37.
\n5.1.4 The design of the light source module shall be such that even in darkness the light source module can be fitted in the correct position; and shall be tamperproof.
\n5.1.5 Nominal voltage of non-replaceable light sources should be 6V, 12V or 24V, their electrical and luminous performance are to be determined by manufacturer and user through negotiation.
\n5.1.6 Position lamps, which are reciprocally incorporated with another function, using a common light source, and designed to operate jointly with an additional system to regulate the intensity of the light emitted, are permitted. However, in the case of rear position lamp reciprocally incorporated with a stop lamp, the device shall either be a part of a multiple light source arrangement, or be intended for use in a vehicle equipped with a failure monitoring system for that function.<\/p>\n
