\n1 Scope
\nThis standard specifies the terms and definitions, test equipment and accuracy, test conditions, test procedures, decision criterion and the test report for the strength test of passenger car tyres.
\nThis standard is applicable to new passenger car tyres.

\n3 Terms and Definitions
\nThe terms and definitions defined in GB\/T 6326 are applicable to this standard.
\n4 Test Equipment and Precision
\n4.1 A steel cylindrical pressure head with sufficient length shall be mounted on the test machine. The top end of the pressure head is a hemisphere having a radius of 19 mm \u00b1 0.5 mm.
\n4.2 The pressure head shall be capable of applying load progressively. The precision of the force and displacement indicator is \u00b1 1% of the full range.
\n4.3 The speed at which the pressure head is pressed into the tyre is 50 mm\/min \u00b1 2.5 mm\/min. The precision of the pressure head displacement is \u00b1 3% of the full range.
\n4.4 The full range of the inflation pressure gauge shall be at least 500 kPa with a precision of \u00b1 5 kPa.
\n5 Test Conditions
\n5.1 The appearance quality of the test tyre shall be in compliance with GB 9743.
\n5.2 Install the test tyre onto the measuring rim specified in GB\/T 2978 and inflate the tyre to the pressure specified in Table 1.<\/p>\n
