\n1 SCOPE<\/p>\n
This Standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, storage and safekeeping of parking distance monitoring and warning device (hereinafter referred to as \u201cPDMWD\u201d).
\nThe PDMWD is not a device which is intended to replace the driver to realize automatic parking function or to issue a warning to other personnel or object present in the parking area. This device is only served as an additional aid to the vehicle driver when parking, but it does not relieve the driver of his special responsibility for parking.
\nThis Standard applies to Categories M and N vehicles.
\nNote: The functional requirements in this standard are established on the basis of the ultrasonic sensor technology. As other sensor technologies develop, it\u2019s possible to modify the functional requirements.<\/p>\n
