3.1 License plate<\/p>\n
A plate for the fixing of a license plate on a vehicle.<\/p>\n
3.2 Mounting bracket
A support on which the license plate is mounted.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
4 SHAPE AND DIMENSIONS OF THE LICENSE PLATE<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The license plate shall comprise an even rectangular surface, or curved surface if it is available for the fixing of the license plate. The dimensions of the plate and holes in it shall be determined according to the standard GA 36.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
5 LOCATION OF THE LICENSE PLATES\/BRACKETS<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The license plates\/brackets shall be positioned on a vehicle in such a way that they have no influence on the vehicle\u2019s designed approach and departure angles.<\/p>\n
5.1 Position of the front license plate\/bracket<\/p>\n
The front license plate\/bracket shall be mounted on the front bumper of the vehicle.<\/p>\n
5.1.1 The license plate on the front license plate\/bracket shall be perpendicular or practically perpendicular to the longitudinal plane of symmetry of the vehicle, and its mid-point shall not be in the left-hand side of the plane. The left-hand edge of the license plate and the license plate\/bracket shall not project beyond the right outer edge of the vehicle’s front end.<\/p>\n
5.1.2 The license plate on the license plate\/bracket shall be practically vertical or it may be inclined to the vertical at not more than 15 degrees with the surface bearing the registration number upwards.<\/p>\n
5.2 Position of the rear license plate\/bracket<\/p>\n
The rear license plate\/bracket shall be mounted on the rear end of the vehicle.<\/p>\n
5.2.1 The license plate on the rear license plate\/bracket shall be perpendicular or practically perpendicular to the longitudinal plane of symmetry of the vehicle, and its mid-point shall not be in the right-hand side of the plane. The right-hand edge of the license plate and the license plate\/bracket shall not project beyond the left outer edge of the vehicle\u2019s rear end.<\/p>\n
5.2.2 The license plate on the rear license plate\/bracket shall be practically vertical.
a. it may be inclined to the vertical at not more than 30 degrees with the surface bearing the registration number upwards if the height of the upper edge of the plate \u00a0is not more than 1.20 m from the ground.
b. it may be inclined to the vertical at not more than 15 degrees with the surface bearing the registration number downwards if the height of the upper edge of the plate is more than 1.20 m from the ground.<\/p>\n
5.2.3 The height of the lower edge of the license plate on the rear license plate\/bracket shall not be less than 0.3 m from the ground. The height of its upper edge from the ground shall not be more than 1.2 m generally. However, where it is impossible to comply with this latter limit the height may exceed 1.2 m but it must then be as close to the limit as possible on the basis of the constructional characteristics of the vehicle and must in no case exceed 2.0 m.<\/p>\n

6 SPACE REGARDING VISIBILITY<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The license plate on the license plate\/bracket shall be visible in the whole space included within the following four planes, i.e.: the two vertical planes touching the two lateral edges of the license plate and forming an angle measured outwards of 30 degrees with the longitudinal median of the vehicle; the plane touching the upper edge of the plate and forming an angle measured upwards of 15 degrees with the horizontal; the horizontal plane through the lower edge of the plate(however, if the height of the upper edge of the plate from the ground is greater than 1.2 m, this latter plane shall form an angle measured downwards of 15 degrees with the horizontal).<\/p>\n
The characters\/numbers on the license plates shall not be covered by the license plates\/brackets.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
7 STRENGTH OF THE LICENSE BRACKET<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
It must be ensured that the license plates\/brackets shall not work loose, deform and not be able to be removed without removing or destroying the license plates during the normal use of the vehicle.<\/p>\n
