This Standard specifies the terms, performance requirements and test methods for vehicle alarm systems (VAS) for commercial vehicles of maximum authorized total mass greater than 3.5 t.
\nThis Standard applies to the VAS designed to detect\/sense and to indicate, the unauthorized opening of vehicle door, luggage-compartment lid, engine hood and emergency exit, as well as the tilting of the driver’s cabin and the disconnection of a trailer or the power interruption. It covers both VAS intended for installation as original equipment, and those intended to be installed after delivery of the vehicle.
