\n1 SCOPE<\/p>\n
This standard specifies the safety requirements of fuel cell stacks for fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEV) in terms of hydrogen safety, electrical safety and mechanical structure.
\nThis standard applies to the proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cell stack for vehicles. This standard only deals with the conditions that can yield hazards to human body and cause damage outside the fuel cell stacks. Protection against damage inside the fuel cell stacks is not addressed in this standard, provided it does not lead to hazards outside the stack.<\/p>\n
