1 SCOPE

This document specifies the overall requirements for echelon use of traction battery used in electric vehicle, the requirements for appearance and performance, and the general requirements for echelon used battery products.
This document is applicable to the echelon use of cells, modules, and packs/systems of retired EV lithium-ion traction batteries, while the echelon use of cells, modules, and packs/systems of retired EV nickel-hydrogen traction batteries may use this standard as a reference.
