Post Crash Safety Requirement for Electric Vehicle
1 SCOPE
This document specifies the special safety requirements and test methods for battery electric vehicles and hybrid electric vehicles with voltage class B circuits after frontal crash, lateral crash and rear -end crash.
This document applies to the frontal crash of the battery electric vehicles and hybrid electric vehicles with voltage class B circuits in Category M1, Category N1 with a maximum design total mass 2,500 kg, and multi-purpose goods vehicles.
This document applies to lateral crash and rear-end crash of the battery electric vehicles and hybrid electric vehicles with voltage class B circuits in Category M1 and Category N1.
This document doesn’t apply to fuel cell electric vehicles.

3 TERMS AND DEFINITIONS
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 19596 and the following apply.

Working voltage
the effective value (rms) of a.c. voltage or the maximum value of d.c. voltage (disregarding transient peak) liable to be generated by the electric system under any normal operating conditions according to manufacturer’s specifications
