Headlamps Equipped With Gas-Discharge Light Sources for Motor Vehicle
1. SCOPE
This Standard specifies the photometric performance, test methods and inspection rules of headlamp equipped with gas-discharge light sources for motor vehicles. Headlamps equipped with gas discharge light source(s) may incorporate outside lenses of glass or plastic materials.
This Standard applies to various type of headlamps equipped with gas-discharge light sources for motor vehicle in Category M and N.

3. TERMS AND DEFINITIONS
For the purpose of this Standard, the terms and definitions defined in GB 4599 and GB 4785 apply.
The term “headlamp” used in this standard refers to headlamp with gas-discharge light sources. A complete headlamp shall also include ballast according to GB 4599.
