1. SCOPE

This standard stipulates the requirements and test methods of protective devices against unauthorized use of motor vehicles.

This standard applies to the protective devices against unauthorized use of motor vehicles in Category M and Category N.

2. TERMS AND DEFINITIONS

2.1. Vehicle Type

means a category of motor vehicles which do not differ in such essential respects as:

2.1.1. The manufacturer’s type designation,

2.1.2. The arrangement and design of the vehicle component or components on which the device to prevent unauthorized use acts,

2.1.3. The type of device to prevent unauthorized use.
