1 SCOPE

This document specifies the technical requirements, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage with respect to the small and medium power internal combustion engines (ICE) (declared power  560 kW), and describes the corresponding test methods.

This document is applicable to the small and medium power ICEs for road vehicles, ships, agricultural tractors and forestry machinery, engineering machinery, generator sets, irrigation and drainage machinery, while this document may be used as a reference for other small and medium power ICEs to which no document applies currently.
