1 SCOPE

This document specifies the technical requirements, test methods and criteria for determination of the same type with respect to the automotive door handle.

This document is applicable to the door handles of Categories M1 and N1 vehicles and multi-purpose goods vehicles, while this document may be used as a reference for door handles of other vehicles.

3 TERMS AND DEFINITIONS

For the purpose of this document, the terms and definitions established in GB 11551, GB 15086 and GB 38031, as well as the following apply.

3.1 doors

doors, e.g., swing doors and sliding doors, which are installed at side or back of motor vehicles and can be opened/closed for passenger access

Note: Folding doors, roll-up doors and improvised doors with convenient installation are not included.
